Made to be used, not replaced.
Most garden tools are built to a price. This one is built to last. The blade is SK-5 carbon steel, hammered by hand in a third-generation family workshop in Miki, Japan.
Hori hori means dig dig. It weeds, plants, drills seed and prises stone. It is the kind of tool you buy once and keep for decades.

The knife
167mm of blackened SK-5 carbon steel.

The handle
Beech, engraved with foliage.

The sheath
Hand-stitched emerald leather.

Together
One tool, made to be carried.
Forged by hand in Miki.
SK-5 carbon steel, 167mm, hammered and finished by a third-generation family workshop. It takes an edge and holds it through root, stone and clay.

Hand-stitched emerald leather.
Every knife comes in a leather sheath, cut and stitched by hand and etched in Somerset. Built to ride in a tool bag or on a belt for years.

A tool, not an ornament.
The foliate engraving is lovely, but this is built for the work. Use it, sharpen it, and it will outlast the season it was bought for.

Fifty will be made.
When they're gone, they're gone.
